GreaseKit: User Scripting for WebKit

I just found out about this nifty little SIMBL plug-in. I am not crazy about OS X hacks like these, but it’s definitely interesting to be able to add some user scripting capability to Safari and all other WebKit applications. I wish Apple provided a proper plug-in API for extending functionality.

24 Ways 2008

24 Ways has had some good articles in the past few years, and they are back this year with more. I am not crazy about the new design, but I am sure the content will be worth it.

TorCamp Planet: A Community Feed

I spent a couple of hours today hacking together a community feed site for the TorCamp group. It’s basically an aggregation site for people blogging about web technologies in Toronto. The code is based on the community section of the djangoproject.com, they have the full source code available. I am planning to open source TorCamp Planet once it reaches a stable state as well.

Magpie: Viral Advertisement Gone Insane

Clever idea, but it’s definitely scary. They buy 20% of your Twitter account for 30€ per month and insert advertisements into your timeline. If anyone I am following did this, I would promptly take them off my list.
